These are big shoes our newcomer is stepping into. After all, he is the successor to our very successful cuvée 10/84.
85% Pinot Noir and 15% Chardonnay from two individual plots at Flamberg form the basis of our 14/84. Pure shell limestone! The name 14/84 means: vintage 2014 and a minimum of 84 months of yeast aging. In reality, however, it has already been more than 90 months that this sparkling wine has spent on the lees in the Römerhöhle.
In the finish, Hannes, as he did with the SOL Rosé 2016, relies on the Double-Zero method: zero sugar and zero sulfur addition. Our 14/84 presents itself extremely straightforward and finely effervescent, with proper pressure and tension on the palate. A sparkling wine with high development and aging potential.
